Poor

They lived between the Rocky Mountains
And the Sierra Nevada
They were poor
They lived by hunting
Rabbits
Lizards
Snakes
Even the insects
Grasshoppers, the jumpers
Kept them on the move
To stay in one place
Was to count death
They were constantly on the move
For they were poor
