Beaded War Horse Necklace and Earrings.
Each side of this necklace measures approximately 8 1/2" long, so I guess this would be considered a 17" necklace.
From the Lapis Lazuli stone to the end of the fringe, there is an additional 5 1/2" in length. The clasp is sterling silver. Size 11 glass Czech beads surround the porcelain cabochon with the American Indian war horse. They are also used for the fringe which is finished off with shell beads.
Lapis Lazuli, bone, glass, and red jasper beads make up the rest of this necklace. The back is covered with hand stitched leather.
The earrings are approximately 3/4" wide x 2 3/8" in length, not including the sterling silver fish hook wires.
The Lapis Lazuli cabochons are from Afghanistan. Size 13 glass Czech seed beads and shell beads make up the rest of the earrings. The backs are covered with hand stitched leather.
These earrings might be particularly appealing to someone of the Cherokee Nation since the design is a seven pointed star.
