Nature's Child
Oh spirit wolves stand by me
In this cold and frozen rain
Those hardened pellets
Are frozen teardrops
From the cold, cold
Heart of man
Oh great she bear
Shake your head
This is when you seem so enraged
For children like me
That smell like pee
Are left to shiver
In the cold and frozen rain
The butterflies that fly
Remind me of the summer sun
The rainbows play
While the aspens sway
In the warm of the summer days
When night time comes
The sound of the drums
The dancing feet
The shadows that sleep
Is where I want to be
The buffalo roams
Across the prairie
I hear the thunder of their hooves
The earth is shaken
It is meant to waken
The cold, cold heart of man
Oh great spirit guide
Take me home
For I have seen the soles of man
The cold, cold pain
Is almost the same
As the heart of this thing
Called man
With all their degrees
They have forced me
To my knees
Now I am locked in this cage
With my friends
Yet they wonder why
I sit and cry
For this cold, cold heart of man
I hear the call of the loon
The whippoorwills tune
Will keep me warm this night
The light from the moon
Tells me that soon
Once again I will have to kneel before the
Cold, cold heart of man
