Make It So

I have sent you these flowers
A bouquet of friendship
Whose days have gone by
Like a ship on the sea
Drifting slowly, why ?

When you look at these flowers
The petals and the stems
You will see within the bouquet
There is more than just a friend

There are moments spent together
With laughter and with song
There are smiles and chuckles
Memories to be sung

Oh how the petals cling to one another
This is like us like one to the other
Look at the colors of these roses so red
They are like our moments spent together
Then finally wed

The green in the leaves reminds us to grow
To pass the moments of misunderstanding
With seeds of love to sow

From these seeds of love
More flowers will grow
You will be surrounded with bouquets
The rest of your life
Let us make it so
