Heather is an Iñupiat artist who is a member in the Nome Eskimo Community - a Federally recognized Tribe. She obtains the sealskin from people that harvest it sustainably, to support their food needs.

Sealskin Mittens.

I can make these any size that you order in either blue dyed sealskin or natural grey. Please contact me. These are handsewn, from the liner, to the leather, and finally the wrist fur.

Materials: lined with fleece, blue seal skin on the outer, rabbit hair on the wrists, and cow leather in the palm. The mittens are warm and beautiful! Pricing will vary by size from $250 to $350.

A small would be approximately 7" from wrist to middle finger tip.
A medium would be approximately 8"
A large would be approximately 9".
Additional sizes can be made as well.

Sealskin Star Ornament.

This is a blue dyed and natural grey sealskin ornament. It is made out of sustainably harvested seal skin and tanned professionally. The backing and hanging loop are cow leather. This is completely handmade.

The ornament is 2 7/8" across. It is $36, which includes shipping USPS Priority in the US. If you want it shipped internationally, please contact me so I can rework the price.

Blue Eskimo Yo-Yo.

Blue Eskimo Yo-Yo.

This Eskimo yo-yo is made from dyed blue sustainable seal skin sewn into a conical shape with goat skin sewn on the bottom. This is completely hand sewn.

The string is made of sinew and hemp. The tab you hold on to in the middle is a plastic bead. I can make this is in many other shapes as well.
