This beaded rosette necklace is a tribute to the Thunderbird or also known as the Thunder Being. The Thunderbird is a frequent mythological character in Native American legends. The Thunder Being is attributed to bringing us power and strength.
The Thunderbird rosette is 1¾" in diameter and features 2" fringe and is backed with faux leather. Each side of the necklace portion of this piece features two coordinating peyote stitched beads on either side of natural bone black bead. They are strung on 16½" long black waxed linen cord.
The wearer can determine the total length of the necklace by tying it at the appropriate length.
This has been a popular feature for young people as it can "grow" with them or for those who want to adjust the drop based on the neckline of the garment they are wearing.
