This necklace was inspired by the eight pointed legendary star of the Lakota. This design in frequently seen in the wonderful quilts made by the Lakota women and was made as a tribute to them.
The beaded Lakota Star rosette measures 3½" including the star point blue edging. It is faux leather backed. The colorful fringe tapers from 2" on each short side to 3" at the mid point.
The necklace portion of the piece is made of two strands of seed beads brought together by a larger brick red seed bead every 1½". The necklace portion is 13" on either side, or 26" total.
This length is sufficient to go around most heads without a closure. If you might need it to be shorter or longer, please contact me as adjustments can be made.
