Leather flat bottom pouch containing an Apache Tear Drop and the Legend of the Apache Tear.
These fine leather pouches, hand crafted and hand sewn by Barbara Shiningstar's daughter, Kate GoodHands, are approximately 3" tall with a unique hand sewn closure that slides on a leather thong.
Each leather pouch contains an Apache Tear Drop [obsidian or volcanic glass] which by Legend are the solidified tears of the Apache Women and loved ones of the brave Apache Warriors, who rode their horses off Big Pacacho [Apache Leap Mountain] in Arizona, rather than be captured in battle by the calvary.
The stones are said to bring good luck to those possessing them. It is said that whoever owns an Apache Tear Drop will never have to cry again, for the Apache Women have shed their tears in place of yours.
